The Best Hairstyles To Rock In This Summer's Heat

Best Summer Hairstyles

Hi guys, how are you all doing? And how's your summer been? Mine has started off on quite a great note and I hope to share them all very soon. Today's post is about the hairstyles you can still rock even this terribly hot and humid weather.

In the summer, I prefer not having anything touching my face or neck because of the sweat and heat, it can be all just irritating. So here are a round up of hairstyles I feel would be great if you're looking for what to do with your hair this summer.

1. Cornrows - I know you knew this would be on the list. I think Cornrows are everybody's go to hairstyle in the summer. If you don't know what cornrows are, it's braids that run in a straight raised line while picking up the hair strands (that's the best way I can describe it in simple terms). Corn rows are great because they are protective so they protect your hair and scalp, they allow air to touch your scalp and it's easy to run your fingers through and they don't need too much styling and maintenance and there so many different styles and patterns.

2. Box Braids/Twists - I added box braids and twists cause you can style them into updos and pony tails which are still easily to live with.

3. Ponytail weaves - I feel pony tail weaves are great for summer because they are so light, natural looking and  take hair away from your face. Ponytails where you sew in or clip in a hair piece at the back or middle of your hair and then you cover it up with the rest of your hair as leave out but your hair should be really permed so it can blend nicely with the weave. Apart from single pony tails, there also doubles.

4.  Pixie cut - I've always loved pixie cuts but never gotten one. They are equally great for summer and so effortlessly stylish.

5. Low cut -  I know a lot of girls who just cut their hair in the summer and either dye it, curl it or style it in any way they like. But even in a million years, I wouldn't have the courage to cut my hair again since that one time in primary school and again in secondary school.

6. Bantu knots - Bantu knots are great for the summer as well as they let air get to your scalp although, they don't last so long and require maintenance.

7. Cornrow your natural hair and wear a wig - I know wigs can make you sweat and cover up your scalp but on the bright side, once you get in, you can take them off as quickly as you want and free your scalp which is great and also if you want to swim, you just take the wig off and dive in freely.
