You know what? I think our generation is so body conscious. we're more body conscious that ever and I'm not even excluded. Maybe it's because of how social media is now and all the beauıtiful girls we see on Instagram who have perfectly shaped bodies, the flattest tummies and all of that.... you know what I'm talking about.

And it is quite annoying that people these days constantly feel the need to point out when you're adding up like it's their fat or something.... If  you're reading this, it's probably because you feel fatter, look fatter or have been told over and over again that you are getting fatter or adding weight. So here are 4 ways to know for real if you've really gained weight and drop the denial. I'm not saying it's good or bad but you might just want to confirm how true and real this weight gain situation really is..

4 Ways To Know If You Have Really Gained Weight

#1 Try on your clothes

You'll know if you've gained weight when clothes you used to wear all the time don't fit anymore, they are tighter and hard to put on. And also try on clothes that were bigger or looser on you and if they fit you perfectly or are even snug or tight then the answer is YES! YES! YES!

#2 Look at your body

Before you take a shower or get dressed, look at yourself in the mirror. Do you see any extra flesh? Folds maybe? Bulges? Rolls? or simply, any difference?

#3 Before & After Pictures 

This one is going to be so obvious and the realization might even be scary but photos don't lie. Make a collage of a very recent photo and a photo from a few months ago. Place them side by side and if there's a huge difference, you'll see it.

#4 Measure your Weight on a Scale

I have never liked this one. I hate to see my weight flash on the screen but this is the surest way to know. I recently checked my weight and that's when I knew for sure I had gained. If you don't have one at home, go to a clinic or pharmacy to check yours.

I just want to encourage you to love your body even while you work towards the body that you want whether you want to gain or you want to lose weight, never let what people say about you and the way you look get to you. Gain or lose because YOU want to.
