How To Track Your Period & Cycle || Flo Period App Review

How To Track Your Period & Cycle || Flo Period App Review

Hello guys. Welcome back to my blog. If you're new around here, I'm so glad you found my little space on the internet, I hope you see what you like and also stick around. So, am I the only one who didn't know that period apps even existed until recently? By recently, I mean like around 2015. I knew as girls or young ladies, we are meant to track and take note of when our period shows up, how long it lasts and when next to expect it but I thought you're supposed to only do that manually or with an actual calendar but at least now, I know that there are loads of different apps that are just a download away.

I've used two period apps in the past, one is Clue recommended by bella the brownie diaries in one of her YouTube videos and the other is Period Tracker which I discovered and downloaded myself from the google play store. The app I'll be talking about today is called Flo. Now isn't that a nice name that just blends in. Flo App to track your flow, see the play with words.  So this app is available on both the App Store and Google play store so they have both android and iOS users covered. It's helpful, full of resources, simple and easy to use.

You can download it, create an account with your email and password, answer a few questions about your menstrual cycle and start using the app. It tells you when you're about to ovulate and when you are actually ovulating. It tells you when to you expect your period and when it should end based o the duration it has already recorded.

It also helps for those who are trying to have a baby, it tells you when you're most fertile and have high chances of getting pregnant and if on the other hand, you're trying to avoid pregnancy, it comes as a warning telling you that you have high chances of getting pregnant on such and such days if you have unprotected sex.

So at the bottom, there are always news about women's health that you can always go through to stay informed and educated about your body. While on your period, you can log in information about how you're feeling  like your flow, activity level, sex drive etc.

Another amazing feature of the app is that you can set reminders. Reminders for when your period comes, ovulation day or if you are on oral contraception, you can set reminders for times to take your pills. It's all in all a great app and  more importantly free. I also love the color scheme. It has a switch to pregnancy mode option so it doesn't become useless to you when you do get pregnant.
